Pastor Geneva Alston
is the Late Senior Pastor of Broken Bread Ministries, located in Highland Springs, Virginia. Pastor Alston came to know the Lord as her personal Savior in July 25, 1975 at Manna Bible Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland where the late Rev. Brown was the Pastor. In 1979 she was baptized in the Holy spirit at Calvary Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor Jim.
Pastor Alston continued her Christian education by taking classes at the Zoe Bible College at Calvary Assembly of God. She went on to further her journey as a member of the Rock Church in Baltimore, Maryland where the Bishop Bart Pierce was pastor. In 1986 the Lord led Pastor Alston to Richmond, Virginia. She worked in the legal field for approximately 30 years. Her expertise and skills were lauded in legal office in Richmond, VA, Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. After returning to Richmond, Pastor Alston started a Women's Bible Study DCWF (Downtown Christian Women's Fellowship) in 1986. She later went on the radio WDYL-FM with Broken Bread and Poured Out Wine Radio Broadcast for approximately 3 years. She then branched out to the AM station WREJ-1540 for another 3 years.
In 1990 Pastor Alston graduated from the Heritage Bible College where she earned a Certificate in Bible Studies. In 1991, Pastor Alston started the ministry "Broken Bread Ministries" and is Senior Pastor Alston of that local fellowship. Pastor Alston went into full-time ministry in 1999 when the church moved to Highland Springs, Virginia. In 2002 Pastor Alston was honored with a Doctorate in Christian Education bestowed upon her by Christ Worship Center Bible Institute. In 2005 Pastor Alston founded the Broken Bread Community Development Community Corporation as an outreach of Broken Bread Ministries.
Pastor Alston has 2 daughters (who serve with her in the ministry, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild). Pastor Alston's mission is to develop and train mature Christians in the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4) to bring them to the knowledge of who He is and who they are IN HIM.
